The Sierra Club is a non-partisan organization that works to support pro-environmental candidates for elected office at the national, state and local levels. Our efforts range from voter education and grassroots action to candidate endorsements and direct candidate support.

Locally, the Washington, DC Chapter supports pro-environmental candidates for Mayor and the thirteen-member Council of the District of Columbia.

For more information about your elected officials, visit the D.C. Government website.

Please check back in the summer for a list of our local candidate endorsements for the 2006 Primary Election (Tuesday, September 12) and General Election (Tuesday, November 7).

For more information about local elections, please visit the website of the District of Columbia Board of Elections & Ethics (BOEE), an independent agency of the District government responsible for the administration of elections, ballot access and voter registration.
